RESEDA, CA – Helping Hands Senior Foundation proudly announces its successful service of 10,359 unduplicated clients in 2023, marking a dramatic increase in our reach and impact.
Since the pandemic, our agency has seen double-digit growth in the number of people seeking assistance. “Instead of a steady 1-3% rise in clients year-over-year since our opening in 2015, in 2022, our program served 13% more, and last year, we were able to work with an astounding 45% more people, though our resources are being stretched thin,” said Sean Markie, Program Director of Helping Hands Senior Foundation.
Helping Hands addresses unmet social needs such as lack of housing, caregivers, medical equipment, food, and other basic necessities for the elderly, helping ensure that social care gaps are closed. “We are committed to fulfilling the goal of a more connected community by continuing to serve the elderly in Southern California,” Markie said. “We welcome inquiries and referrals and are delighted to develop new community partnerships.”
